General Information

Climate

India experiences a tropical monsoon climate with dry hot summer, a cold winter and a rainy season. The weather during October and November is very pleasant in all parts of the country. The temperature in Delhi and Jaipur, like most of northern India, varies from 25 to 28 °C during the day and 10-15 °C during the night. Mild showers occur only rarely.

The period is most suitable for visiting any part of the country.

Transport

India has a very good network of roads and railways. Major cities are connected by National and State Highways, and superfast trains. Air conditioned luxury coaches are available on most train and road routes. Sleeper coaches are available for long distance travel during the night.

Visa

The Ministry will facilitate the issue of visa to participants from all countries who need it.

Communication

India has excellent communication facilities with an extensive network of telephones – both land lines and mobile. Telephone calls can be made to any part of the world any time of the day. Internet facilities for email communication are also widely available.

Currency Exchange

All major international currencies can be exchanged for Indian Rupees in all major cities, in hotels, banks and many exchange bureaus.

Costs

The Ministry will make all efforts to keep the costs for participation in the conference reasonably low without compromising with quality at international standards.
